captcha is now impossible for me to get past,

it keeps giving me this bs:

what is the output of, echo $(date -u +%Y) “GNU”|sha384sum

I tried copying and pasting it into the terminal emulator and I got the answer and put it in the captcha......

well it refused to accept the answer. I tried reloading... still nothing.

I tried again and again to get it to work, still nothing.

In essence, I can now no longer post on the forums... ugh.

It’s enough to make me want to tear my hair out.

Captcha sometimes can be so obnoxius I think it may even be evil.

Sorry for the obvious rant, this just really gets on my nerves. I doubt other people don’t feel the same.

the domain Hyperbola.info is using such SPF record that does not allow the IP address 185.26.126.154 to send emails from bissen.hyperbola.info as seen on: https://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=spf%3ahyperbola.info&run=toolpage

Correct the SPF record as to enable deliveries of emails.

This is negatively impacting Hyperbola project in public mail servers which may consider hyperbola.info domain as domain sending spam.

When I was adding this task, I put some long tags on it (html form allowed that) and got an error concerning too long tags field to fit in an sql datatype (max is 40 chars). Task got added anyway (just without tags). I didn’t know that and created it again.

This problem did not occur last time I sent emails to a hyperbola.info account (December 2019).
It does not happen with any other destination email server. My guess is that something isn’t properly configured in your server.
If you conclude that this is a riseup.net problem, let me know and I’ll open a bug report with them.

Since 2022-01-25, but not exactly due to something done in this date, connecting to imap.hyperbola.info works, but authenticating doesn’t.

`ping imap.hyperbola.info` shows that the machine at siauliai.hyperbola.info (185.177.150.7) is turned on and reachable.

`openssl s_client -crlf -connect imap.hyperbola.info:993` successfully reaches the IMAP server/service. Inside the IMAP client console, doing `tag login adfeno MySupperSecretPassword` gives “tag NO [AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] Authentication failed.”.

Perhaps the seed/salt/hash of my password was corrupted on the server?

Not very harmful, but the 25 (for the moment) banned users are counted in the number of users in the forum:
On the bottom of every pages, we can read “Total number of registered users: 75”, which is not really true.
I was thinking that it could confuse anyone which wanted to know how large approximately is our community.

There are moderation forums for specific languages, but there’s no subforum which involves all of them. I was thinking of a “Moderation discussion” or “General Moderation”, so we are not too specific if a moderator wants to discuss sth. that involves all languages.

I could not find any regarding using arch or other branded themes. Parabola apparently rebrands some stuff in their libre repository, eg. they have their own parabola-themes-slim package for slim based themes.

The RFC 3461 would allow Hyperbola email accounts to request the destination email providers to point out if an email was successfully delivered.

It might not cover all transport failures, but at least has a chance to know in advance whether the message was delivered, discarding the events that happen afterwards (be it to the main inbox or subject to filtering rules such as moving to other folder, marking as spam or deleted after receipt).
