Any | Feature Request | Very Low | Low | [vobsub2srt] please add package | Closed
Task Description
here is the description from the website
https://github.com/ruediger/VobSub2SRT
VobSub2SRT is a simple command line program to convert .idx / .sub subtitles into .srt text subtitles by using OCR. It is based on code from the MPlayer project - a really really great movie player. Some minor parts are copied from ffmpeg/avutil headers. Tesseract is used as OCR software.
vobsub2srt is released under the GPL3+ license. The MPlayer code included is GPL2+ licensed.
The quality of the OCR depends on the text in the subtitles. Currently the code does not use any preprocessing. But I’m currently looking into adding filters and scaling options to improve the OCR. You can correct mistakes in the .srt files with a text editor or a special subtitle editor.
Attached is a working PKGBUILD for the latest stable version.

Any | Feature Request | Very Low | Medium | [slim-themes] please add hyperbola branded variant | Closed
Task Description
slim-themes seems to be considered free according to Parabola - they have an issue with arch branding (slim-themes::::[branding][:package] has “archlinux” theme) which they resolve be creating the package parabola-themes-slim. Perhaps this can be the basis for hyperbola branded themes.

Any | Feature Request | Very Low | Medium | Add Trinity Desktop | Closed
Task Description
I would like this, because, it looks even better than xfce4. It does use an older qt3 though, BUT, they are maintaining QT3 and improving it themselves.
Plus, its more lightweight than xfce4 and maybe even lxqt too without looking like crap like lxqt and yet still is better than a WM.
I know you don’t like stuff that is abandonware in any sense, but given its being maintained, I hope you will add it.
But let me know.

Newsboat is a fork of Newsbeuter. The only difference is that Newsboat is actively maintained while Newsbeuter isn’t.

Task Description
Description: GNU Guix is a purely functional package manager that can coexist peacefully with GNU/Linux distribution’s native package manaer and allows unprivileged per-user software installation. Guix depends on several guile libraries not yet present in Hyperbola repo that need to be packaged too.
I have already prepared the necessary PKGBUILDs (attached to this task)
and I’m only asking for checking if they’re ok (since it’s my first attempt at packaging) and adding them to Hyperbola.
I did have some doubts as to which versions of packages were I supposed choose (newest ones or ones that were available as of May 8th 2017). I am also not sure if guile’s .go files are architecture dependent (some existsing PKGBUILDs I used declare arches separately but one declares ‘any’). I might have also made some mistakes along the way, hence I hope someone experienced will take a look at it.
I really hope someone will make use of guix once it’s added :)

Stable | Bug Report | Very Low | Low | [lightdm] Wrong locale displayed | Closed
Task Description
On a fresh install, the system wide locale is not working with lightdm. According to https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/LightDM#Wrong_locale_displayed
One needs to set the LANG variable in /etc/environment to have lightdm in desired language.
Example :
LANG=pt_PT.utf8
Could it be possible to implement a mechanism to automatically add the LANG variable set in /etc/locale.conf to /etc/environement when one install lightdm ?
It is not technically a bug but it could be handy to new users.
