When package libwlocate is installed, it is not showing this error.

Description:
GNU Guix is a purely functional package manager that can coexist peacefully with GNU/Linux distribution’s native package manaer and allows unprivileged per-user software installation.
Guix depends on several guile libraries not yet present in Hyperbola repo that need to be packaged too.

When you add Lumina desktop, add this package for sure. Although it is compatible with other desktops too. So it would be good to add it regardless.

As per this bug report the MEGA plugin cannot be compiled using the OpenSSL version provided in hyperbola.

This described solution works (I successfully upgraded the package to version 1.0.2r).

  Install the openssl-1.0 package.
  Run ./configure with the following arguments:

./configure –enable-local OPENSSL_LIBS=’-L/usr/lib/openssl-1.0 -lssl -lcrypto’ OPENSSL_CFLAGS=’-I/usr/include/openssl-1.0’

  run make

Unfortunately this solution (upgrading openssl-1.0) breaks some other packages such as phantomjs and avidemux, so it would be great if the package could be upgraded by Hyperbola’s developers alongside all its dependencies.

Description:

Searx is better in the short term than search engines like Google and DuckDuckGo in that the client-side JavaScript is free and the server-side code is free and public. However, in the long term it can never be a real replacement for non-free search engines while it relies on non-free search engines for data. At this time, the major general purpose search engines who use their own data are all controlled by corporations like Google and Microsoft. The YaCy search engine addresses this by relying on decentralized data based on p2p.

For this reason, I believe that YaCy is socially a better choice than Searx as the default search engine for Iceweasel-UXP. However, it is not at this time a practically better choice. Since YaCy relies on its users to index the web, and does not currently have many users, the search results are not very good. This creates a chicken-and-egg problem, since it will be difficult for YaCy to gain users while its search results are poor.

However, Searx supports YaCy as a source of search engine results. I don’t know of any Searx instances which have YaCy support enabled, presumably since YaCy support would only be useful to users who have YaCy installed locally and running on http://localhost:8090, but Hyperbola could run its own Searx instance, enable YaCy support plus DuckDuckGo, and make this the default search engine for Iceweasel-UXP. This way, Iceweasel-UXP users can use and contribute to YaCy, but supplement YaCy’s search results with results from DuckDuckGo until YaCy becomes strong enough to stand on its own.

Description: opmsg is a replacement for gpg which can encrypt/sign/verify your mails or create/verify detached signatures of local files. Even though the opmsg output looks similar, the concept is entirely different.

Safe Eyes is a program to manage breaks in front of the computer. It has many features that help us adapt it to our needs.

Description: As Gnome has decided against following libre, free principles the desktop-environment has becoming a risk for the privacy and freedom for users. Meaning that the desktop-environment with all basic packages should be removed. Of course the final decision is up to the community and the development-team. As per the source code, xdg-utils is meant to work with firefox, google-chrome, and other browsers. It is missing support for -uxp applications.

When i try to set the brightness on my screen, with xbacklight -set 100,

it does this:

No outputs have backlight property

and it doesn’t really matter if I set it lower than 100 or what it currently is at.

Fix when you can please!

It appears when I plug in my libreboot laptop x200 in, it appears to dim the screen and when its unplugged, the screen is bright again. Something peculiar is at work, I wondered if this could be fixed.

My assumption is it is related to lxdm or lightdm. Any thoughts?

I am currently using 0.4, so I don’t expect this to be a fast process, just when you get a chance okay?

When trying to start a new campaign the complete game-engine is crashing with the following message:

Object::disconnect: Unexpected null parameter
QCoreApplication::postEvent: Unexpected null receiver

As ghc and fpc should be removed in the near future it would be good to validate this or otherwise remove the game-package itself also.

Is there any way to force it to try from yt as it did in the final attempt?

CHDKPTP is part of CHDK project - a free software firmware add-on for Canon cameras. It enables controlling Canon cameras via the computer.

Attached is a modified iup PKGBUILD (Lua 5.3 build was removed as it failed to compile) and configuration files for chdkptp.
