FS#737 - Noscript continual update request,

I would like it if you could, fork noscript legacy and constantly update it based on the webext one’s changes without of course, using the webext.

What I mean, is be applying the new security fixes they put into the webext one (the ones you need)

and then, apply them into iceweasel-classic’s noscript.

Even if you plan on updating it once a month, this is critical in my opinion for keeping the browser safe.

5.1.85 is the current latest legacy noscript version within noscript.net’s website.

ps, this is doable right?

We don’t want obsolete software after all.

Upstream to provide security patches

This is no longer needed as upstream has offered to keep a classic version. It will only get security updates and not any new features, which works fine for us.

Per the website:

You can still download NoScript "Classic" (5.1.9) for Palemoon, Seamonkey, Waterfox and possibly other "vintage" (pre-Gecko 57) Firefox forks here: we'll do our best to provide security fixes as long as supporting browser still guarantee their own security updates.
