FS#739 - [iceweasel-uxp] Privacy Possum continuous support for Iceweasel-UXP
This is another addon I would like support indefinitely for Iceweasel-UXP:
It blocks etag tracking and other nasty forms of tracking.
But again, you would need to make the changes based on the newer versions only for legacy and without WebExt required of course.

This addon would require development
from scratch to support legacy XUL.

Major bit of importance, the author of this addon as seen here: https://github.com/cowlicks/privacypossum/issues/78
would like some testers, to make his job a bit easier, would you guys be willing to do this?
He is willing to keep legacy support, all he asks is a bit of help. I was a bit confused and not much help, but I bet you guys could get this addon supported. I will send a message to Emulatorman about this just in case.
This addon is like privacy badger but much, better and more blocking of bad stuff.
Looks like a pretty neat addon. Unfortunately it was designed from day one to support Chrome and Firefox WebExt, there never was a legacy version to backport, it would need a complete re-write.
It may still support a custom build with WebExt enabled in mozconfig, but as you mentioned on the bug, developer will need ensure they are using a unique ID: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/WebExtensions/WebExtensions_and_the_Add-on_ID
However, each WebExt UUID can also be used to fingerprint the user with high accuracy. This is the primary reason we don't support them.
